The world's largest sand sculpture museum: Sandland
Have you ever seen sculptures made of sand? You can see them at the Sandland Antalya Sand Sculpture Museum located on Lara Beach in Antalya. Here, huge sand sculptures are exhibited on an area of ??10,000 square meters. This open-air museum, which is significantly larger in size compared to other sand sculpture museums in the world, also stands out among its counterparts worldwide due to the large number of participating artists and the extensive use of sand.
These sculptures, created by numerous artists from various countries around the world, are completed in approximately three weeks. To create them, 10,000 tons of river sand are used along with water. These sculptures, which are quite heavy and long, collapse very shortly after they are exhibited and new ones are created in their place. The philosophy of sand sculpture art is based on the idea that everything will eventually disappear and nothing is permanent.
