A peaceful spot in nature: Cirali Beach
In the district of Kemer in Antalya, there's a place that tranquility seekers particularly enjoy, akin to therapy: Cirali Beach. Here, history and nature intertwine seamlessly. Surrounding you are only the sounds of birds and waves, with no other noises to disturb. It's quite ideal for gazing at the deep blue sea and having a magnificent day away from stress and noise. However, when we say "day," it's worth noting that one day won't be enough.
We recommend staying here for a few days because you won't want to leave this tranquility so quickly. Accommodation options in Cirali are plentiful, catering to every budget. Whether you choose to camp, stay in a bungalow, guesthouse, or hotel, the choice is yours. Let's remind you that since this area falls within the boundaries of the Beydaglari (Olympos) National Park, there are no large hotel buildings here. Therefore, it offers the kind of vacation sought by those who want to "relax and get away from the noise."
What are the features of Cirali Beach?
Cirali Beach stretches for 3.5 kilometers, starting from Yanartas and ending in Olympos. Its most significant feature is undoubtedly being a nesting area for the endangered Loggerhead sea turtles, known as Caretta Carettas. As you walk along the beach, you can see these nests protected by fences and warning signs. It's essential not to disturb the Caretta Carettas. Therefore, placing sun loungers close to the sea is not allowed. This beach also gets very dark at night to facilitate the Caretta Carettas' easy navigation. Additionally, during their nesting periods, activities such as being on the beach, swimming, camping, etc., are prohibited between 21:00 and 06:00.
Cirali has a stony sea... The shore near the sea is rocky, while further away, it consists of fine sandy beaches. Moreover, due to the riverbeds in the area, the sea is cool and very clear. Cirali generally has calm waters and being an endless beach, you won't encounter too many people even on weekends. Additionally, there are many restaurants lined along the beach where you can satisfy your dining needs.
Cirali Beach has also been declared a protected area due to its proximity to the ancient city of Olympos and is well preserved. When you visit this place, you can also explore this magnificent ancient city. Another place worth visiting near this beach is Yanartas. You must see it too.
How to get there?
This beach is located 70 kilometers from Antalya center and 28 kilometers from Kemer. Those coming from Antalya center should go to the bus station and take buses to Kumluca. After getting off at the Yanartas intersection, they can reach this beach by taking minibusses to Kas or Finike. It's better to come here by private car or rented car with a driver because that way you can reach this peaceful place faster and more comfortably.
