This ancient city, located in the Yanköy neighborhood of Serik, formerly known as Pamphylia, is situated on the hill of Koçhisar, 235 meters high, between Perge and Aspendos. It is said that the city was founded by Mopsos and Calchas, who migrated here after the Trojan War. At one time, Alexander the Great was eager to capture this city but failed to overcome its strong defense and take it.

Sillyon, where the first coin with its name was minted in the 3rd century BCE, was heavily damaged by earthquakes over the years. Therefore, many monuments, including the fortress on top of the hill, suffered damage.
