The ancient city of Olympos is located in the Kumluca region of Antalya. Olympos, located 10 kilometers north of Mount Tahtal?, is also known as the City of Gods. There is no exact information about when Olympos was founded, but it is known that its name is mentioned on coins around 168-167 BCE. Additionally, it is assumed to have been founded during the Greek period, around 300 BCE.
The ancient city of Olympos bears traces of the Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine eras. Some of these include: the acropolis, cistern, temple ruins, sacred road, Byzantine church, and Lycian sarcophagi. Especially noteworthy is the Lycian sarcophagus belonging to Captain Eudomus, which is located near the beach and contains reliefs. It should be noted that there are still many unexplored ruins in Olympos.

The ancient city of Olympos is located near a beautiful beach and nature. When visiting Olympos, you can also see Olympos Beach, which is known for being a nesting site for loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta) and is therefore protected as a sanctuary. How to get there?
The ancient city of Olympos is located on the Lycian Way, 85.7 kilometers from the center of Antalya. You can get here from the center of Antalya by bus. However, it is more comfortable to come here by private car or rented with a driver.
Entrance fee and visiting hours?
Entry is charged, but Turkish citizens with a museum ticket can visit for free. Turkish citizens without a museum ticket are charged 220 Turkish liras. Foreigners pay 10 euros.
The ancient city of Olympos is open for visits daily, but visiting hours vary in summer and winter. In summer (from April 1st to October 31st), it is open from 08:30 to 19:00, and in winter (from October 31st to April 1st), from 08:30 to 17:30.
