Urban district, undiscovered paradise: Kapuz Canyon

Kapuz Canyon, located in the Konyaalt’ district of Antalya, is in close proximity to the city center. Locals have dubbed it the "Throat of Kapuz" and the "Undiscovered Paradise" because it is a place with Turkish waters nestled between two mountain slopes. This canyon, set amidst lush greenery, stretches for about 3 kilometers. At its entrance, there is a pond and small waterfalls.

What can you do in Kapuz Canyon?

The water in the canyon is very cold... In the summer, you can take a dip in it to cool off from the scorching heat. We recommend caution when swimming, as the water can be deep in some places. If you enjoy camping, you can come here and pitch a tent. Additionally, you can spend time in nature here by having a picnic. Moreover, grilling barbecue is allowed here... Since there are no food and beverage facilities in the canyon, you'll need to bring everything you need. Furthermore, you can fish or engage in various water sports such as rafting, boat rides, and canoeing. There is also a long hiking trail around this canyon, so trekking is also an option here. Finally, you can take some photos of this wonderful landscape to preserve the memories.

How to get there?

Kapuz Canyon is located in the village of Ashaghkaraman in the Konyaalti district. It is 10 kilometers from the center of Antalya and 25 kilometers from the airport. You can reach this canyon by your own car or by renting a car with a driver. To arrive from the center of Antalya by public transportation, you will have to make two transfers. Therefore, coming by your own car or renting a car with a driver will be faster and more convenient. It should be noted that there is no direct access to the canyon by car. After parking your car by the river, you can reach the canyon on foot in just 5 minutes.

Kapuz Canyon is open for visitors every day, and admission is free. In the summer, this canyon, which is crowded with both locals and foreign tourists, becomes particularly crowded on weekends. We recommend coming here on weekdays if you want to enjoy some peace and quiet. When visiting this place, which seems close to the city yet remote at the same time, you will be engulfed in a sense of tranquility and serenity. Don't forget to add Kapuz Canyon to your list of places to visit in Antalya.
